Local Lockdown Legacy – Get Involved

PLEASE COMPLETE THE SHORT SURVEY AT THE END OF THIS PAGE.

Last year, more than 4,000 people got involved in shaping a new future for Balbriggan, which resulted in the publication of Our Balbriggan 2019 – 2025 Rejuvenation Plan.

That plan will be implemented during the next five years.

Back then, we could not have predicted how our lives would change so dramatically in the first half of 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 restrictions, forcing us all to re-evaluate our values and priorities.

While the lockdown has restricted our lives in many ways, it has also opened our eyes to our surroundings, allowing us the opportunity to explore our local areas in ways that we have never done before and to see our neighborhoods with a new appreciation.

Tourism, work, family routine, leisure and retail are all changing.  Personal relationships and our connections within our locality and to the environment have all become more important to us.

We would like to know if there are any ideas you feel are important under the following categories, which are based on the broad themes of the Rejuvenation Plan, that you would like the Council to consider and explore, as we emerge from the public health restrictions.

We will gather your feedback and publish the results on our website www.balbriggan.ie and your reflections will help inform our next steps.
