Free Fingal County Council parking initiative for Balbriggan

An additional 280 new free car parking spaces have been provided by Fingal County Council  at three locations within a 10 to 15 minutewalk of Balbriggan Railway Station, where paid parking remains in operation.

It is recommended rail users travelling to and from the Station by car should avail of the new free car parking spaces, if at all possible.

The newly redeveloped car park at Bath Road, which is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Railway Station, has 119 spaces.

These include six disabled spaces – two of which are EV spaces, 13 dedicated EV spaces, and bicycle parking for 14 bikes and three adapted bicycles.

The newly redeveloped car park at Bremore Castle, expected to be fully open by the end of this month, is a 15 minute walk from the Railway Station, and has 111 spaces.

There are five disabled spaces – two of which are EV spaces – 19 dedicated EV spaces two bus/coach spaces, and 31 bicycle spaces, 16 of which can cater for adapted bicycles.

An additional 50 free car parking spaces are available at the Lambeecher Overflow car park, a 10 minute walk from the Railway Station.
